Single Stage Liquid Ring (large) Single stage pumps are equipped with mechanical seals. The dynamically balanced rotor is supported by grease lubricated ball bearings. The impeller is mounted between the bearings, which results in less vibration, low noise, and easy accessibility to the shaft seal. They can be sealed with water or oil.
