Vacuum Regulators

Ohio Medical Vacuum Regulators

Ohio Medical has been providing suction products to healthcare facilities worldwide for over 50 years. Our vacuum regulators continue to be the preferred choice for maximum performance, high quality and minimum maintenance. Ohio Medical offers a vast and impressive line of Vacuum Regulators, including digital and analog options, Push-To-Set™ technology, Surgical Free-Flow options, colored body options, adult, pediatric and neonatal offerings, and much more.

Push-To-Set™ (PTS) Vacuum Regulators:

Did you know that other suction regulators require a two-handed occlude to set procedure be performed when setting vacuum levels? If occlude to set is not performed, over suctioning may occur. Higher than recommended suction levels may lead to tissue damage and/or bleeding. Tissue tears may lead to infection.

The built in Push-To-Set feature on Ohio Medical’s patented PTS Vacuum Regulators eliminates the need to manually occlude patient tubing in order to set accurate vacuum levels. Push-To-Set technology helps ensure safe suction pressures.

The Ohio Medical line of Push-To-Set (PTS) vacuum regulators are specially designed for a variety of clinical applications including airway, nasogastric, surgical suctioning and C.A.S.S. procedures as well as chest drainage.

All Push-To-Set Vacuum Regulators Feature:

  • Patented Push-To-Set technology for accuracy and safety
  • Quick-To-Max (Adult regulators only) – 1 to 2 turns to reach full wall vacuum for emergency resuscitation
  • Lightweight, compact design
  • Impact-resistant, rugged construction
  • Easy-to-read, color-coded gauge ranges
  • Moderate to high flow rates
  • Glow-in-the-dark gauge needle and increments (Analog)
  • Dependable, time-tested gauges and controls
  • Low maintenance, easy serviceability
  • Available with a Digital Gauge (+/- 1% Gauge Accuracy)
  • “Battery Low” Indicator on the digital gauge
  • MR Conditional options available

Amvex Vacuum Regulators:

The Amvex brand of Vacuum Regulators offers a comprehensive line of Intermittent and Continuous models to help service your adult, pediatric, neonate and surgical patients. Amvex vacuum regulators feature a technologically advanced modular design consisting of six major components, enabling your healthcare institution to easily upgrade models from Analog to Digital, and from Continuous to Intermittent. This modularity also provides for simple serviceability and maintenance.

Amvex’s patented Digital Regulators are the first of their kind in the marketplace. This technology provides the clinician with higher gauge accuracy and large digital numbers for ease in pressure readings, as compared to an analog gauge.

Amvex Analog and Digital Vacuum Regulators Feature:

  • Analog gauge designed for clarity (large white background)
  • Easy to read large digital display
  • Operating ranges: 0-100 mmHg, 0-160 mmHg, 0-300 mmHg, and 0-760 mmHg
  • Analog glow in the dark gauge available
  • Analog accuracy is +/- 3% of full scale
  • Digital accuracy is +/-1% of full range
  • Because there are no mechanical moving parts within the gauge, digital technology provides a longer working life versus analog mechanical gauges
  • Durable and flexible polymer ABS plastic casing, available in a variety of colors
  • Upgrade to Intermittent mode or Digital in minutes
  • Same housing for both Continuous and Continuous/Intermittent Regulator
  • The removable back panel allows you to visually inspect, service and clean.
  • MR Conditional options available
  • Impact resistant, rugged design

Legacy Vacuum Regulators:

Ohio Medical’s Legacy vacuum regulators have been the product of choice to healthcare facilities world-wide for decades, preferred for maximum performance, high quality and minimum maintenance. The legacy line of products offers a broad selection of regulators specially designed for a variety of clinical applications including airway, gastric and surgical suctioning as well as chest drainage.

All Vacuum Regulators Feature:

  • Lightweight, compact design
  • Impact-resistant, rugged construction
  • Easy-to-read, color-coded gauge ranges
  • Glow-in-the-dark gauge needle and increments
  • Dependable, time-tested gauges and controls
  • Low maintenance, easy serviceability

Legacy Vacuum Regulators:

Intermittent Suction Unit:

This specialty regulator includes an “intermittent” mode that automatically cycles the vacuum on and off and a “continuous” mode for continuous suction. The intermittent mode is ideal for gastric drainage and C.A.S.S. The continuous mode is ideal for general suction such as airway management, continuous gastric drainage and chest drainage.

Continuous Vacuum Regulator:

This multi-purpose vacuum regulator is offered in a three-mode (Regulate/Off/Full) system or two-mode (Regulate/Off). This device is designed for general suction procedures and chest drainage.

Surgical Free Flow Vacuum Regulator:

This specialty vacuum regulator is designed for high-flow applications requiring strict vacuum control and high flow. This device is ideal for the operating room where high vacuum flow is very important.

Thoracic Vacuum Regulator:

This specialty vacuum regulator is designed for high-flow, low-vacuum applications such as pleural drainage. This device replaces traditional water column vacuum controllers. It enables the user to quickly adjust low vacuum levels without the noise, evaporation or spillage that occurs with traditional water column drainage systems. For pleural applications, this device must be used in conjunction with a two-bottle pleural drainage system with a water seal and collection system.
