POC Innovations

In their booth, Ohio Medical will display its Zen-O and Zen-O Lite portable oxygen concentrators (POCs). With pulse and continuous oxygen delivery modes, breath sensitivity, and Rate Response Therapy™ (RRT) that automatically adjusts to patient demands, Zen-O and Zen-O Lite provide the best care for active patients requiring oxygen therapy. “RRT is a real differentiator when patients are active, such as when climbing stairs or taking a walk,” continued Jani.

Unlike fixed-volume systems that can reduce the oxygen bolus at higher breath rates, RRT provides a constant bolus size and increases delivery when the patient needs more oxygen, ensuring their saturation levels are maintained during activity. This dynamic adjustment allows patients to remain active and saturated, even at high breath rates, without needing to manually change device settings.

“Another differentiator that we believe visitors to our booth will appreciate is the technical support for our POC devices, specifically the GCE Clarity remote monitoring service,” added Jani. GCE Clarity uses mobile/cellular connectivity to securely relay data from the POC to a browser-based dashboard where healthcare professionals can monitor the device in real-time.
